Getting nervous

After my first week in this project I am getting a bit nervous, realising what distance the guys from the US swim every day. I am actually not sure how to train for this. What I do at the moment is working on technique and power, which comes up to 2000 m every time I train. Now, I definitely need to extend those session to be able to swim longer distances. I think I will work on achieving an overall weekly distance of 10.000 metres a week. Plus I will figure out how I can get used to cold water.

What I love to see is that there is a big enthusiasm in the group and everyone is really excited about the project. We will work on the charity thing and then go ahead and start the fund raising part of the project which we are really thrilled to do.

I will leave the flat now for a swim with a friend (no training just fun) and then use sunday to relax. Lets see what next week will bring.
